I know exactly where you are! You guys are in my spot! I call it deer camp. Nice haul.
Awesome video! Amazing location! Has anyone ever experienced a sedated or medicated feeling after eating wild oyster mushroom soup? I have experienced this only in soup form and can't find any documentation of this phenomenon anywhere but definitely felt it and am curious.
I can’t say I have ever experienced that.. first time hearing anything like that. Interesting, might have to make some soup to see if it does anything.. thanks for watching!
To me the effect is not unlike drinking a strong reishi mushroom tea but somewhat different and it has lessened over the years. thanks for the quick response!
I love it, keep going ,indonesian fans hereeee
❤😂💯👍
👋🏼 😎 👍
Use to hunt morals all my life. Blue and black morals. Roll in flour and corn meal and salt and pepper.
The sound
Yes Very satisfying!
That's the way ❤
At what elevation do you find them
I found this one between 10,000-11,000ft Here in southern Colorado
Where was that guys?
Southern Colorado between 10,000-11,000ft
Nice
Good job gentleman🎉😊
Congratulations yal
Wow! That's one big 🍄
Right out my front door. The forests are dying, many downed trees. PLEASE be careful and don't ignite anything without a means to put it out. It's not IF but when it happens, it will be catastrophic to our beautiful Valley's flora and fauna. Have fun, be safe, and remember to be vigilant about forest fires. YOU can prevent them.🐻🐻🐻
Hey man! Yeah I was also finding some of those Russula I let them go did not even attempt to do a spore print. I'll be going back out today looking for porcinis probably in the pikes peak area lots of Facebook activity showing tons of them down in that area.
Yeah it’s been to dry down here man, we’ve gone up twice about a week apart and haven’t seen any porcini. But I know there’s some popping because we’ve seen others posting some. There just fewer and harder to find.. good luck up there, hope to see a vid soon!
@@OutdoorsInspired absolutely will my friend and good luck to you as well out there
I was out a bit ago a few days after an inch of rain near Ned. Bunch of stuff popping out, no king boletes but quite a few Leccinum insigne and Hawk's wing

Nice work out there. It's been a banner spring for Morel hunters. I'm over by Salida and have been following them up in elevation for the last 3 weeks.
Very cool! So far it’s been a great year for mushroom hunting
Great looking scores you guys happy you are finally on some delicious foods
Thanks Yeti! They were delicious, might have to go back for some more..
Right near satellite tower 😁
add a beef bullion to your mushrooms when frying uf you dont have meat to go with rice..its like you are eating beef strips.
do you need a permit from the fed forestry rangers
It's free !!
Yes you do if you are harvesting on USNF land (Not sure about BLM or County)… But it is free, available at any NF Ranger’s Station and good for the calendar year… Easy.
@@brodiwheeler7583 you'll have to stop by if up this way. I can't pick em all 😂😂 Going to get lots of chanterelles, porcine (kings), tons of lobsters, flying amanita..... Can access several US forest and many acres of private, down along the boarder Happy trails
nice harvest..where about or your elevation?..will be heading to colorado in a week ...i missed morel season in south tennessee..it started in march it seems..hope i find some in coloradi
Southern Colorado 5300ft
We're usually are much, much higher in the same area.
Holy moly I gotta get out! most of the trailheads are still buried in snow! but I hear that the oysters and the morels are starting to pop up in some lower elevations by the rivers and streams. I've even heard of a few boletes out there too! happy hunting
Yeah we found these around 5300ft Thanks for watching!
Awesome ! What elevation?
5,300ft
I'm a bit old, been in the business end for four decades. There was a time 80's we wouldn't bother with Chaga. 2014' harvested thousands of pounds. That was in a pine forest once loaded with natural morals. I currently live high San Luis Valley with access to many different ecosystems and microclimates. It's going to be another great season.
Behind the... Damn, there's a building and a parking lot. No worries going to be a good season 🤠
Always a pleasure watching you sirs great job be safe
Thank you kind sir! 👊
Awesome.
where about or elevation..coming to colorado soon..will be hunting.
Southern Colorado around 5,300 elevation
@@OutdoorsInspired hows the smoke..has it reached colorado
@@tracy2762 ? What smoke?
@@OutdoorsInspired from canada..dakotas has been getting it bad
@@tracy2762 no smoke here, At least not yet.
There was an oyster flush in Alamosa 2 weeks ago after that heavy snow and also a couple blonde morels under some apple trees in Salida around the same time. It seemed early for both. Hopefully the rain this week gets things popping :)
Yeah we had alot of rain the past couple days so hopefully that helps. Thanks for watching!
Awesome sir I'm growing the blue oysters now love the woods adventure time
Those should be good.. thanks for stopping by Yeti man!
i have been a few spots in tennessee and north carolina and the mushrooms are scarce.
We’ve been getting a lot of rain the past couple days so hopefully they’ll be popping soon..
@@OutdoorsInspired i come out to colorado to visit for a couple months and porchinis seem to be the shroom there..i found one morel in beginning of april in TN and that was all...surprised there isnt any or much since this area warms up early.
I think we might be seeing some mushrooms soon.
Yeah it’s about that time!
Do you take people for a fee? I would love to learn
No sorry
After you have pulled out the mushroom, you must cover the mycelium with leaves and earth. Otherwise, the mycelium will dry out and will not give birth to more mushrooms.
Love you'r vedio.thank to share..I love nature. I want to see a forest with mushrooms like this one time. I live in Florida and there is no forest like this near where I live. I very want to go hunter to find king boletus mushrooms. like this once some day. i very hope..i enjoy to watch you'r vedio look like i go with you guys too.thank you
Crazy. Across the pond here (Austria) if I go into the forest, I find pretty much exactly the same mushrooms. Even the ones at 5:25 that trick you into thinking you got a bolete :) We even got the same mushroom fly (-> maggots) problem. You got a lot of Macrolepiota too?
No I haven’t seen any macrolepiota around here.. thanks for watching!
Essentially all over the world youll find the same mushroom. It's pretty crazy. Here in California we have the CA king which is a nuttier, often more bulbous but quite similar mushroom.
I've noticed a pattern with the maggots that I am going to explore next season... I think that the fly-maggots prefer areas where pine/spruce threes are dominant. Because the soil is a lot less dense, making it easier to lay eggs for some reason. Especially bad is that factor combined with water/lakes nearby. Atleast it seems that way to me. Whenever I check videos or made good finds myself it was always in areas more dominated by hardwoods such as beech/birch/oak etc. Just a random thesis I got.
@@TheSketis but they lay their eggs into the mushroom..
@@stoneeh Havn't you noticed how the maggots always infest the stem first? They go from the bottom up. I've once found a baby bolete that literally was burrowed in the ground, almost unspottable. It had maggots in the bottom-stem but not in the cap. Doesn't make any sense.
Love your channel! Followed you from Klesh! I just found 15-20lbs of Hawks Wing mushrooms. I would like to turn you on to the "Spot" and give you some if you could trade for King Boletes spot. I keep finding Aspen Boletes. i could use a little 101 on mushroom hunting and identifying. Thanks CT
I’ll give you a good hint, we were in southern Colorado in the wet mountains. Thanks for watching!
"Wow. Look at that! That's nice." Like the opening scenes. Movie like. 🎬
Thanks, this one has always been a favorite of mine.
Great 🍄 When seson for king bolete ends in Colorado ?
Here soon, they’ll start dwindling out in September..
Another great vid1 Best wishes to you! I moved to southern Oregon... I have mushrooms EVERYWHERE!
Hey thanks! That’s good mushroom country up there in Oregon 👍👊
